Head & Neck Surgery and Oncology

Head and Neck tumors are a group of tumors occurring in a small but anatomically complex region, requiring a dedicated and skilled approach. In India, head and neck cancers are one of the most common cancers accounting for 30% of all cancers. These tumours arise from the critical regions of the head & neck that affect, talking, chewing, swallowing, voice, breathing and appearance, thereby affecting the normal activities of daily living and quality of life. It takes great skill to remove the disease while maintaining near-normal functioning of vital systems of the body. The Head & Neck team has an extensive experience in the management of these advanced tumors.

The Department of Head & Neck Surgery and Oncology at THANC Hospital is a site-specific oncology unit providing comprehensive and personalized care to head and neck cancer patients.
